Your first impression should be impossible to ignore.
I’ve always believed a headshot is more than a photo. It’s leverage.
For actors, it’s your calling card. For business professionals, it’s your first introduction. Long before you speak, your image is already communicating something.
The question is, what is it saying?
With over a decade of experience working with entrepreneurs, creatives, and public figures, I focus on creating portraits that feel natural, confident, and intentional — images that speak volumes, even when you aren’t there to tell the story yourself.
My Approach
I’ve always believed a headshot should feel natural, not manufactured.
The best portraits happen when people stop thinking about the camera and start being themselves. My job is to guide that process — shaping light, expression, and subtle movement so the image feels effortless but intentional.
Sometimes that means quiet direction.
Sometimes it means letting a moment unfold.
What we’re looking for is the balance between confidence and authenticity — the version of you that feels both real and elevated.
A great headshot doesn’t just show what you look like.
It communicates presence.
The Experience
No two faces are the same — which means no two lighting setups should be either.
Every person has different features, expressions, and energy in front of the camera. I approach each session individually, shaping the light, angle, and direction based on both your natural features and the vision you have for the image.
Some faces respond beautifully to soft natural light. Others benefit from more sculpted studio lighting. The goal is never to force a formula, but to find the lighting and approach that best defines your unique characteristics and allows them to shine in the final portrait.
The result is simple: no two headshots look the same.
A headshot session should feel relaxed, collaborative, and straightforward. Whether it’s your first time in front of a camera or your tenth update, I guide you through the process from start to finish.
Preparation
Before the session we’ll talk through the purpose of the images, wardrobe options, and the overall tone you want to convey. Sometimes a small adjustment in clothing or styling can make a big difference.
The Session
Sessions take place in my Hoboken studio just minutes from Manhattan. The space offers both natural light and studio lighting options, allowing us to shape the portrait to match the look and energy you want.
During the shoot I guide you through subtle direction and movement to create expressions that feel confident and natural.
Image Selection & Retouching
After the session you’ll select your favorite images. Each final image is carefully retouched for tone, color, and polish while still keeping the portrait authentic and natural.
The goal is always refinement — never over-editing.
