"Coney Island is and always will be 'the people's playground.'"
The Carousel Portrait Series
is an ongoing series of portraits taken in front of the iconic carousel in Coney Island. I’ve always been drawn to this place. Its history runs deep, and I often find myself imagining what it was like in its earliest days. My vision for this series is simple—capture people in their essence.

Coney Island has a way of bringing out something raw and real in people. There is a distinct vibe here, a mix of attitude and grit, layered with nostalgia. You can feel it the moment you step onto the boardwalk. This project is my photo study of that energy, the spark of joy, freedom, and play that still lives here. In each portrait, I am searching for the child that comes out when you visit this place.
